Plot

The story is about Cory a wildlife officer. Cory has had a tragic past and is still haunted by the memories of that tragedy that happened because of him.

The film then follows Cory who aims for redemption from his past and so teams up with a FBI Agent who is trying to solve a murder mystery.

Star Performance

The film stars Jeremy Renner as Cory Lambert and he justified the character with his fantastic portrayal of emotions, and the redemption arc of Cory.

Elizabeth Olsen portrayed The FBI agent Jane Banner and she together with Jeremy made a fantastic duo.

Analysis

The film starts in the winter on the Wind River Indian Reservation, where Cory Lambert discovers a body of an 18-yr old who turns out to be a local names Natalie Hanson.

The case turns out to be complicated when FBI agent Jane Banner gets involved and Natalie’s autopsy show traces of blunt trauma and rape, now the case was not just homicide. Following the investigation there are some aggressive scenes that happen but eventually Lambert traces back the clues with everything leading up to the guards, since unknown boyfriend of Natalie was a guy named Matt who was a guard nearby.

Upon finding out and getting involved Lambert ends up killing four of the guards as the culprit tries to run away.

But Lambert apprehends him and offers him to confess before he offered him an opportunity to save his life by trying stay alive by running to a distant road barefoot and wearing lightweight clothing just the way it happened with Natalie.

Pete decides to run but soon ends up collapsing due to lack of air. In the final scenes we see Lambert visit Banner and praising her for her braveness.

He then decides to visit Martin as they both grief over his daughter.

It contains amazing Action.
The film carries sense of Mystery.

The Dialogue writing is stale at some parts of film.

Verdict

The movie “Wind River” is an excellent movie with depiction of sensitive themes like rape and crime. The scenes and portrayal of storyline makes the entire film so cunning and sharp where you truly feel immersed in the film.
