Made on a budget of just 2 crores, the movie earned around 5 crores worldwide, making it a surprise hit. The original movie is available for streaming on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

The sequel was recently released on 13 September. The plot of the movie takes the storyline forward, with Babu and Yesu [played by Sri Simha and Satya respectively] now appointed as special agents by a police taskforce. However, a couple of events make the two fugitives, and now they have to find out the real culprit, as well as avoid arrest by the police. The movie turned out to be a surprise hit, just like the original movie. Despite being made on a budget of 10 crores, the movie is a bonafide commercial success, earning 24 crores worldwide approximately.
