Amidst a lot of controversies is AR Murugadoss and Vijay's Sarkar at the moment. As various politicians are turning against the content shown in select scenes of the film, a lot of film personalities have been sharing their voice and support for Vijay's Sarkar. Among them is NGK producer SR Prabhu. His Twitter post read:

"தணிக்கை செய்த படங்களை சர்ச்சைக்கு உள்ளாக்குவது எல்லாம் விளம்பர கணக்கில் தான் சேர்கிறது! அதுவும் இலவச விளம்பரம் ?

This can be roughly translated as, "Creating controversy out of the scenes  that have been approved by the censor board, comes under publicity for the film. You are just giving free publicity for Sarkar by doing the following."
