Due to this, the producers of the three movies are into efforts to release their movies on Diwali. Reportedly, the movie Mersal has been made with a budget of Rs 140 crores. The minister has announced that the entertainment tax cannot be reduced further. Also, movie producers are sticking to their stand that the entertainment tax is entirely cancelled. There is discussion between the government and the cine fraternity. Since there is delay on an amicable solution, there is hassle to the release of movies on Diwali.
