When Will The By Poll At RK Nagar Be Held?

RK Nagar in Chennai is the constituency of Madam “Jayalalithaa,” the CM of Tamilnadu, who was announced dead on 5th December 2016. The by-election should be held within six months from the death of the MLA of that constituency. It is heard that the Election Commission has decided to conduct the election on 2nd April. Who will contest the election? As “O Panneerselvam” is already an MLA, he will not contest. “J Deepa,” the niece of “Jayalalithaa” has announced that she will be contesting the by-polls. Earlier, it was speculated that “V K Sasikala” would contest in the polls. As she has been convicted, Sasikala couldn’t involve in politics for the next ten years.
