Aircel, one of the leading network providers in India has stuck on an issue. The subscribers of the network weren’t able to make and receive calls for the past few days, as there was a tower issue. Nearly nine lakh customers have opted out from the network, as they couldn’t make calls. It is also heard that on Tuesday, more than 3 lakh customers had applied for the port change. The Tower Company that had tied up with Aircel cut its services and the sufferers are the Aircel customers. K Sankara Narayanan, Head, SBU (South), Aircel, assures that they will sort out the issue soon and bring back the services. He also said that due to some legal issue with one of the tower companies, the network was completely abandoned by the tower company across India. Aircel customers decided to move to other providers, as they faced the signal problem. As they need the phone service, the network operator allowed them to go. Sankara Narayanan also said that Aircel’s infrastructure would not allow a large number of Port Out requests at the same time and hence it will take time to fulfill all the portability requests.
