, the director cum actor slams the Tamil politicians who travel in flight frequently to Delhi that if they had raised their voice for their mother tongue, we might not have witnessed our language being insulted. Thangar stated that the politicians must have fought for the language and should have got the flight announcements in Tamil. At least from now, they should insist for it, states Thangar Bachan. Here is his statement regarding this:
விமானங்களில் இந்தியாவிற்குள் பயணம் செய்யும்போதெல்லாம் நம் மொழியை கேவலப்படுத்துவதை, புறக்கணிக்கப்படுவதைக் கண்டு கொதித்திருக்கிறேன்! ஒரு குடிமகனுக்கு இருக்கும் உணர்வுகூட நாள் தோறும் விமானங்களில் பயணம் செய்யும் நம் நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களுக்கும், அமைச்சர்களுக்கும் இல்லாததுதான் வியப்பாக இருக்கிறது.
காலங்காலமாக தமிழக நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர்களும், அமைச்சர்களும் புதுடெல்லி செல்லும் விமானங்களில் மட்டுமல்ல, தமிழகத்திற்குள் இயங்கும் விமானங்களில் கூட தமிழில் அறிவிப்பு செய்யாததை சகித்துக் கொண்டுதான் இருந்தார்கள். இப்போதும் அதுதான் நடைமுறையில் இருக்கிறது.
இந்நிலையில் புதிய உறுப்பினர்கள் பதவியேற்பு விழாவில் தமிழில் பதவி ஏற்றுக் கொண்டதை நாமெல்லாம் பாராட்டி மகிழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்!
இப்படிப்பட்ட உணர்வுடையவர்கள் புது தில்லிக்குச் சென்ற விமானத்திலேயே தங்களுடைய எதிர்ப்புக் குரலை எழுப்பி தமிழில் அறிவிப்பை செய்திருக்க வேண்டும். இதுவரை செய்யாமல் போனாலும் இனியாவது அவர்கள் நம் மொழிக்கான உரிமையை பெற்றுத்தர வேண்டும்.
