Get ready for the most unexpected clash ever!
If the reports are correct, it won’t be Pushpa Raj locking horns with Vedaa, but Thangalaan!
The makers of ‘Thangalaan’ are planning for an Independence Day release, since there are strong rumors that ‘Pushpa 2’ might not make in time. The movie is directed by Pa Ranjith, and stars Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu in the lead roles. The movie has been jointly produced by Jio Studios and Studio Green Productions.
Not much is revealed about the plot of the movie, except that it will be based in pre independence India, where a tribe locks horns with the British, who wish to usurp their lands for gold mining. Interestingly, the story is based around the Kolar gold fields, which was the inspiration behind the legendary ‘KGF’ franchise!
When Thangalaan’s first look was released, people were surprised by the drastic makeover of Vikram’s character. It would be interesting to see if ‘Thangalaan’ sticks to the Independence Day release, because if the rumors about ‘Pushpa 2’ are false, 15 August will see a huge clash between Kollywood, Tollywood, as well as Bollywood, since Nikkhil Advani’s ‘Vedaa’ is releasing on the same day.
