, filed a petition to shut the shops as TASMAC will become the hotspot of coronavirus like Koyambedu market.
The Madras High Court ordered to close the TASMAC shops, as the people who came to buy alcohol didn’t follow the safety rules suggested by the government, including wearing safety masks and maintaining the social distance. Only then, the TN government appealed it further to the top court and win against the Madras HC’s stay order.
