Tamilnadu Ministers Slam Abirami Ramanathan?

Abirami Ramanathan, the Theater owner, producer cum President of the Tamilnadu Film Chamber of Commerce, announced a theater strike, without consulting the other cinema organizations. He announced the strike to show the opposition to the double taxation, GST and Entertainment Tax. Vishal Reddy, the President of the Producers’ Council and the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam announced that he wouldn’t support Ramanathan, as Ramanathan's announcement would affect the films. Although Vishal met the CM and the ministers to solve the double taxation issue, he couldn’t get the issue solved. The TN Ministers say that it is the fault of Abirami Ramanathan to announce a theater strike without thinking twice. That is the reason why the government hadn’t called the cinema people to discuss the taxation. After “M K Stalin,” the opposition Party leader spoke about this issue, the Ministers have decided to have a discussion session with the Kollywood people.
