The state didn’t yet announce the civic polls. When the Madras High Court questioned about it, the State Election Commission stated some reason and the judges adjourned the case to a week and suggested to appeal to the high court. Now, it is heard that the Tamilnadu Election Commissioner post is left unfilled. Yes, Seetharaman, the Tamilnadu Election Commissioner completed his term of two years on 22nd March 2017. Today, he submitted all his responsibilities to the government. Although the term of Seetharaman is completed, the government is not taking essential measures to appoint the new election commissioner, complain the opposition parties. However, the Madras High Court ordered to conduct the civic polls on 14th May. Will it be conducted?
