Satta Panchayat Iyakkam filed a plea stating that a stay should be given to stop Sasikala from becoming a CM. The case will be heard today at 2 PM. The petitioner mentioned that DA case against Sasikala and her family has been pending and the verdict is expected soon. As she has been appointed as General Secretary of the party, there are chances for her to form the government. If the verdict in the DA case is against Sasikala, then there are chances for some commotions in the state again. So, it is better to wait till the verdict of DA case is announced. This is what the petitioner mentioned in his plea. It has increased the tension of the TN politicians and the public.
