Sasikala Review Petition Dismissed! Punishment Reconfirmed!

“V K Sasikala,” the so called friend of late CM Madam “Jayalalithaa,” was convicted in the Disproportionate asset case. Along with Sasikala, her sister-in-law Ilavarasi and nephew Sudhakaran are sentenced to the jail term of four years. Sasikala had been in the Parapana Agrahara Prison from February 15, 2017. Meanwhile, a complaint made by DIG of Prisons Roopa that Sasikala has been getting all the benefits including the TV facility, special room and special food facility in the jail. To give a sophisticated life in Jail, the jail authorities had been bribed, complained Roopa. Following that the woman officer had been shifted to Traffic control department. Later Sasikala and co applied for a review petition against the conviction. The supreme court reconfirmed the punishment and dismissed their petition.
