On International Women’s Day, 8th March 2017, he tweeted that every woman should make the men happy like Sunny Leone. This created a huge controversy and many women organizations filed a complaint against him. Kollywood actress cum director Lakshmy Ramakrishnan angrily posted on her Twitter that will Ram Gopal Varma expect the same from his family women. Following a great protest against him, RGV publicly apologized that if his tweets hurt anyone, he feels sorry for it. "Why should one speak controversially and then seek apology?" ask the people.
