From the upcoming academic year, the government schools will have Pronunciation as a subject. It is announced that the schools will train the students to improvise the reading ability and pronunciation through the CDs. As people use more English words while speaking, many people don’t know the exact Tamil pronunciation. Particularly, the usage of different “La,” “Ra” and “Na” will be taught. Pronunciation plays a significant role in making a language sweet. With the new subject, the students’ could improve the language too. The Director of State Academic Research Training, Rameswara Murugan, has taken the initiatives in this regard. All the 247 letters will be used in a song with the signs, to understand the language better. Seven teachers and 20 students participate in the song shooting and the song will also be added to the CD. The shooting of the song is going at a quick pace in Kanadukathan and the nearby areas in Karaikudi.
