Producer Chithra Ramu Passed Away!

Chithra Ramu is a popular producer in Tamil film industry. He is the brother of popular film producer-director-actor Chithra Lakshmanan. Ramu has been suffering from some health related issues for the past few days. He was admitted to the hospital on 4th November. His health conditions became worse today and he died at the hospital around 7 pm on 5th November. His death news was revealed by “Manobala.” The director cum actor took to his Twitter page and tweeted, "Ayoo..enna ithu ...Chithra Ramu..no more..so bad..RIP" Ramu is popular for his films like “Soora Samhaaram” featured by Kamal Haasan and “Nirosha” and “Jallikattu,” featured by “Sathyaraj,” Sivaji Ganesan and “Radha.” 73-year-old Ramu was survived by his wife Thangam and sons Vijaya Saravanan and Vijaya Karthi and a daughter Guha Priya. His last rites will be held at his residence today. Our deepest condolences to his family! May his soul rest in peace!
