When the crew of supporting actors started towards the shooting spot in Thiruvayyaru from Kumbakonam in ten vans, a lorry crashed a van and the driver and a supporting actor Arumugam died on the spot. In the accident, six others are also injured severely and are getting treatment at GH in Thanjavur. Arumugam is a member of FEFSI. Prakash Raj, the producer, director cum actor, met Arumugam’s family at his house in Saligramam and donated Rs. 1 Lakh to them. It is a kind gesture, Prakash!
