He is all set to contest in the Parliamentary Polls 2019. He filed his nomination in South Madras constituency and his nomination petition is accepted. Besides Power Star Srinivasan, the South Madras has two biggie contestants; one from ADMK, Jayavardhan and the other from DMK, Thamizhachi Thangapandian. 

Jayavardhan is the son of Tamilnadu Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar and Thamizhachi is the daughter of Thangapandian, former DMK MLA. Her brother Thangam Thennarasu was a former Minister in the DMK period.
