Madurantakam Lake Is About To Reach Its Full Capacity! Mettur Dam Gets A Heavy Inflow!

Following the torrential rain in Tamilnadu, Madhurandhagam Lake is getting filled, rapidly. The lake is 23.3 feet and the water level is 18.6 feet, now.  It is to be noted that lakes in Kanchipuram are getting filled fast. 69 lakes in Kanchipuram are full and the heavy rains might make them overflow. 

The atmospheric overlay cycle has just moved to the west and is in Gulf of Mannar. So, the air pressure is increased and hence the fishermen are advised not to go for fishing. Already they didn’t venture fishing for the past three days.

 Mettur Dam is getting the water inflow of 4,174 cubic feet from 4,141 cubic feet. The water level of Mettur dam is 84.98 feet. Water reserve is 47.99 TMC and the water discharge is 4000 cubic feet, now.
