When “Aruvi” released last weekend, many people praised it. The film that thrashes the social reality show run by
Lakshmy Ramakrishnan
got appreciation all over. Lakshmy said that she was asked not to comment on the movie. Meanwhile, a fan who didn’t get impressed by the film tagged Lakshmy Ramakrishnan on her post. She said, “#Aruvi Not fair. We cannot allow real life women to be portrayed so grossly vilified in movies. I Don't support Aruvi, as a woman. Such over rated movie. Scary audience reviews @prabhu_sr @LakshmyRamki.” Her post received a comment, “Aruvi is just the depiction of what is happening in a stupid reality show. Its the director's vision and his opinion about projecting aruvi, The film received rave reviews because people could get into aruvi's story right from the word go and felt for her.” One of the tweeple pinpointed Lakshmy and said, “Still alive.. can't b'lieve #Enna ma ippadi panrigale ma...” This angered Lakshmy and she replied, “Onnamaathiri aalellam uryiroda irukkumbothu, enakkennada?? :)” Lakshmy also mentioned "Women should speak up not just for their own sake but for other women also. targeting a woman's reputation, someone who is a film maker / actor, also lends voice for social issues, is nothing but destructive. If u have opinion about the show, discuss that, why personal attacks ?" Lakshmy also posted a photo of her from her film, “
Ammani
” and captioned, “I will celebrate my death, if you kill me :)” A bold lady, indeed! Hats off to her boldness!
