Her next directorial, “Ammani” got completed several months ago, but as there are none to get the movie, it is still waiting in the box. The producers say that the movie has not come out well and hence the distributors didn’t take the risk to get it. But, Lakshmy says, while the movie was in the process, a channel was willing to get the satellite rights for Rs. 75 Lakhs, but the producer didn’t accept the offer. Later, the Abhirami groups offered the same price, and the produced didn’t respond to it, too. And also the producer didn’t allow the movie to be screened at the International Film Festivals, says Lakshmy. She also says that the producer didn’t give her remuneration yet, except the advance Rs. 1 Lakh. Will the movie that depicts the bonding between an 80 years old lady and a 40 years old lady release? Let us wait and see!
