movie had been titled as “Sultan.” But, the makers didn’t announce it officially. When they were about to shoot the film in Dindigul Rock Fort, Hindu Munnani Katchi people came to protest and caused hindrances to the shooting. They thought that the film is based on Tipu Sultan and stated that it was that Mughal emperor, who displaced the Hindu idols and hence the team shouldn’t shoot in Rockfort and popularize him. Although the team told them that this is not a film about religion, they didn’t compromise.
