Goundamani’s Advocate Sends A Notice To Sixer Makers!

He plays a guy, who suffers from night blindness. As the trailer had some scenes that degraded Goundamani, his advocate Sasikumar sent a notice to Sixer makers. Here is the notice:

On instructions from our client Mr. Goundamani, we are to issue the following notice to you.

Our client states that our client is a very sincere cine artist who has been in the film industry for over 40 years and he has acted in more than 500 films. He is a renowned comedian in the Tamil film industry and he has won several accolades including Kalaimamani award conferred by the Government of Tamilnadu. He has won several awards over the last 40 years for his various performances as various characters.

Our client states that in one such movie in which our client’s performance was recognized and applauded across the world is his character as cook Kandasamy in the Tamil movie Chinna Thambi. In the movie our client had enacted the character of a cook who has impaired vision due to night blindness and the said character has been a big hit and was globally acknowledged as stated supra.

In the meanwhile, our client is given to understand that M/s Trident Arts Wallmate Entertainment represented by Mr R Dinesh Kannan and Mr Sridhar has produced the film in the name Sixer casted by Vaibhav Reddy, Palak Lalwani Palak Lalwani made her entrance a couple of years >> Read More... , music directed by Ghibran and directed by Chachi. In the movie The Hero Mr Vaibhav Reddy has replicated the character of night blindness performed by me in the movie Chinna Thambi though it is a common replicate of any character of night blindness but the aftershock and surprise in the said movie Mr Vaibhav Reddy han sab use our client by entering certain dialogues “ஒரு கோடி ரூபா கொடுத்தா கூட ஆறு மணிக்கு மேல வேலை செய்ய மாட்டேன்டா?” டேய் முப்பது ரூபா கொடுத்தா மூன்று நாளைக்கு கண்ணு முழிச்சு வேலை பார்ப்பேன்டா and தாத்தா டேய் சிறப்பா பண்ணிட்டடா ராத்திரில என்ன அக்கிரமம் பண்ணியோ  ஆறு மணிக்கு மேல கண்ணு தெரியாம போச்சு டா. In front of our client’s photograph degrading our client and his original performance in the movie Chinna Thambi. No consent was taken from our client to utter any dialogue degrading our client’s performance in the movie Chinna Thambi. Further no consent was taken from our client to place my photograph and you are seeking unwarranted mileage out of my famous dialogue from the movie Chinna Thambi. Moreover the about display of dialogue knocking the photograph is causing seriously prejudice over our client’s fair name and reputation. Today when our client watch the trailer of the movie Sixer released through youtube, our client was shocked to know that the manner in which his photograph has been used and degrading dialogues being uttered. The dialogue was extremely malicious and scandalous and causing serious disrepute to our client’s fair name reputation and standing. Using our client’s name, photograph and repeating his dialogues without his consent is nothing but infringement of personal right and liberty in addition to copyright.

Our client states that the movie is causing serious disrepute to our client’s fair name and reputation and hence in the interest of justice it would be just and equitable for you to immediately delete the said scene from the movie and also tender an open public apology for having misused our client’s photo and dialogue in the movie Sixer.

Our client states that if you do not remove the above content from the movie and tender a public apology our client would be constrained to initiate appropriate legal proceedings for defamation before criminal and civil courts at your cost and risk. Hope you would appreciate the same and delete the content where our clients photograph is used as the grandfather of the hero hitting the photograph and entering unwarranted dialogues against our client, failing which our client would be constrained to initiate action for defamation and damages as stated Supra at your cost and risk.”
