In the midst of the schedules, the director of the film reveals that the character of the protagonist is inspired by the Legendary Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji.

He explains, "I have read a lot about Shivaji and his Guerrilla warfare Technics. Even though he had very limited weapons for the war, He fought with courage and underplayed to his enemies with calculated guerrilla tricks to win over them. Taking this concept, I have portrayed Vikram Prabhu's role in Veera Sivaji. The protagonist will not attack the villains straight away. Instead, he tricks his enemies to win".

The director also believes this concept will bring more excitement to the fans in theaters.
