,” the popular director cum actor in Tamil cinema industry said that he feels ashamed for supporting Sri Lankan Tamils. Recently, he participated in a cinema event, where he spoke about the issues faced by the producers due to the pirated CDs. He said that there are nearly 18, 000 pirated CD shops in Tamilnadu. He also informs that Chennai police don’t care the pirated CD sellers in Chennai Burma Bazaar. Cheran also said that the Sri Lankan Tamils are releasing the pirated versions of the Tamil movies, online. The whole Tamil film industry supports the Sri Lankan Tamils and it is very hard to digest that some of those people do such illegal things, feels Cheran. We hope Cheran will have to face the protests due to his speech about Sri Lankan Tamils. Stay tuned!
