The Tamilnadu Government had already announced that they would file the case, contempt of the court, against the Central Government, led by
Narendra Modi
, for not setting up the Cauvery Management Board. As per the verdict of the Supreme Court, the Central Government should have set up the Cauvery Management Board on or before 29th March 2018. As the Centre didn’t do its duty, the state government filed the case, as announced. In the petition, TN government has filed 49 pages with the necessary explanations. The State Government has requested the Supreme Court to take action against the Water Resources Board and the Cabinet Secretary. Meanwhile, All parties in TN have planned for a grand meeting and protest against the central government on 2nd April. The Trade Unions have decided to go for a shut down on 3rd April.
