Right from the lockdown announcement, except for transporting the essentials, no other vehicles were allowed. In the latest statement from the government, it is learned that the cycle rickshaws and auto-rickshaws can be operated from 23rd May 2020. They can operate between 7 am and 7 pm. Only one passenger is allowed to travel. But, the drivers, who are residing in the containment zones are not permitted to run their vehicles. All these are applicable for the entire state except, Chennai.
If the autos are back on roads, the traffic would be high as usual. Public transportation will also start soon. So, people should take care of while traveling in public vehicles. They should stay safe and use sanitizers during and after their travel. Stay safe! Don’t step out of the house, unless there is a need.
