An Indian In The Oscar Nominated Movie!

Oscar Awards will be held in a grand manner on 4th March in Los Angeles, America. Last time, it was Priyanka Chopra, who got the honor at the Oscar. This year, she didn’t inform about this and probably she might be a spectator at the awards event. The award categories and the nominations were announced. We couldn’t find any Indian film on the list. Victoria And Abdul, a film that has an Indian named Ali Faizal has been nominated for two categories and they are Best Makeup & Hairstyling and Best Costume Design. The film also has been nominated for the Golden Globe Awards under the category Best Actress In A Motion Picture. The film is about the bonding between Queen Victoria and her Indian servant Abdul. Judi Dench plays Queen Victoria and Ali Faizal plays Abdul Karim. The film is directed by Stephen Frears and it is based on the work by Shrabani Basu.
