AL Vijay To Helm Charlie Remake!

AL Vijay is among the top directors of Kollywood. “Madrasapattinam,” “Deivathirumagal” and “Saivam” are some of his classic creations. The director is gearing up to remake the Malayalam super hit film, “Charlie” with “R Madhavan” in the lead. Vijay confirms that the film will commence within this year. He says that he liked the characterization of two free-spirited individuals, which had a lot of soul. When asked about the remake he said that Martin Prakkat did the film in his style. But in Tamil, Vijay will try his hand and script it to suit the Tamil sensibilities. He feels that Madhavan is the right choice for the role. After completing his bilingual with Tamannaah Bhatia and Prabhu Deva, he will be doing a film with Jayam Ravi. After wrapping up Ravi’s project, Maddy and Vijay project will start to roll.
