has his next film “10 Endrathukulla” starring Vikram and Samantha in the lead. The new film has shared the spirit of “Goli Soda”, where the simple characters overtook powerful people. This film is a blown-up and a sophisticated version of “Goli Soda”. In spite of the fights, dances, romances and songs, this film is made with a realistic out-turn. It was AR Murugadoss who suggested Samantha for this film. Besides, the very first recognition, which “Goli Soda” garnered, was a simple tweet from Samantha who had watched that film. So, Vijay Milton, the director wanted to thank her for her gesture. He narrated the story line in a way Samantha liked it.
This film has the presence of the heroine, throughout the movie. Perhaps, this is why Samantha felt this role was something special to her. The film went in for muted colors like olive green and beige and avoided the usual red, blue, green and yellow. The lead pair is not shown rich and the choice of colors helps the audience identify the guy from Vannarapettai and the girl from Trichy. Samantha liked her costumes, which were not so posh. The film took a long time to shoot, almost a year. This was due to the different locations and the climatic conditions.
