Malayalam Girl Sings Kannada Song!

Sreya Jayadeep, a cute little Malayali girl, has sung a song in John Jaani Janardhan (JJJ). The film directed by Guru Deshpande has a song Onde Thaayi Makkalu, which will be featured by an eight-year-old girl. The original version, Yenno Njanente was sung by Sreya in Malayalam and the director wanted the same voice in his film too. So, Arjun Janya, the music director, invited the 10-year-old singer to sing the Kannada version. Sreya’s mother, Praseedha says that when the director called Sreya to sing a Kannada song, they hesitated initially, as they don’t know Kannada. But, JJJ team sent them the lyrics in English. Sreya listened carefully to Arjun Janya and made the corrections specified in her pronunciation while recording. Arjun was astonished by Sreya’s talent, says Praseedha. JJJ has Ajay Rao, Madarangi Krishna and Yogi in the lead roles. “Malashri” plays a crucial role in the film, along with the leads.
