Kannada Theaters Paves Way For Other Language Films This Week!

Usually, Kannada theaters don’t prefer screening other language movies. It occasionally happens that other language films get a huge number of screens than the Kannada films. This week is special, as the Bangalore multiplexes screened “Spyder,” a film directed by “A R Murugadoss” and featured by Mahesh Babu in 217 shows in Telugu and 38 shows in Tamil. Four Malayalam shows were also screened on Wednesday and Thursday. Tomorrow, the film will have 105 Telugu shows, 35 Tamil shows and 4 Malayalam shows. Last week a Telugu film Jai Lava Kusa had 85 shows on Thursday and 33 shows on Friday. “Tarak” featuring Darshan Thoogudeep releases on Friday with 78 shows. However, this is very less than the Telugu movie Spyder. “Bharjari” was given just 65 shows in the multiplexes on Thursday and 19 shows on Friday. Now, a Telugu film “Mahanubavudu” that releases tomorrow is given 59 shows.
