Harish Raj, the Kannada actor, had performed in Tamil and Telugu ads. For the first time, he will be making his Kollywood debut. It is a matter of pride for him, as it is Mani Ratnam’s movie. Yes, you guessed it right! He will be seen in Kaatru Veliyidai directed by Mani Ratnam. Karthik Sivakumar and Aditi Rao Hydari play the lead roles. Already Kannada actress, Shraddha Srinath plays a crucial role and now Harish joins her. Harish will be seen as the brother to Karthi. He confirmed the news and says, "Right from my childhood, I have been watching and admiring Mani sir's work. We watched his films on video cassettes. We watched them over and over again till the tape eventually stopped working. To have been chosen for a role in Mani Sir’s film is a dream come true. He is the man who inspired me to pursue the film career." When asked about the film, he said, “I am not supposed to share any stills or speak about the film. But I feel pleasure working with Karthi and he is a down to earth person.”
