Audiences Criticize The Indian Awards In This Oscar Season!

88th Academy Awards were held in the US, and Leonardo DiCaprio bags the Best Actor Award. Now, the Netizens in India started to discuss the quality of the Indian film awards. They began to compare the Indian Awards with that of Oscar. Though we have IIFA, SIIMA and Filmfare, we don’t have enough transparency, say the Netizens. The debate is going on at a brisk pace on the social networking sites. They feel, unlike Oscars, many of the Award Shows in India are not lively. It is also discussed that the Award Committee and the telecasters are giving much importance to the commercials than the talents. They also feel that most of these award shows are not telecasted LIVE. They prefer to broadcast the edited version and not the original. If the shows are telecasted live, it will reach the people, more than the Oscars, say the Netizens. They also say that Indian movies are not lesser in quality when compared with foreign films. So, they feel the Awards stage should be real and open to all. Will the Award Committee hear the request of the Netizens?
