Hani Taha, a Pakistani actress, was born on January 24, 1978, in Saudi Arabia. She completed her B.Sc. in Anthropology and English Literature in 2008, followed by an MA in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism in 2013. She pursued her MA in Theatre at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Hani is the first Pakistani individual, regardless of gender, to enroll in their MA program. She has also made an appearance in Teelipk to tell the story of a woman named Laila who had to face child marriage and was forced to sacrifice her dreams and aspirations just to fulfill the requirements of her marital life. In 2021, she produced a short film titled Lifeline: Inside Pakistan’s Morgues. Her independent productions include Forbidden Flesh, a short film based on the practice of female genital mutilation, preceded by Magar in 2021 and Clickbait in 2020. She made films for the BBC including, Qandeel: The Verdict in 2019 and Justice for Qandeel in 2018. She has also performed as an actor, singer, and dancer for the musical, based on the theme of Xenophobia and bigotry named Yahudi ki Larki. She was also a part of the Foodpanda ad created for the Pakistan Super League. In 2022, she founded the theatre company called Hangami Productions. Her renowned plays include Na Mukammal and Ullu aur Billi.
