Vasiraju Prakasam is a film critic, producer, and journalist in the Indian film industry predominantly in Telugu cinema. He is also the producer of few television serials in the channel Doordarshan. Vasiraju Prakasam has produced some famous films such as Balaraju Katha, Kalam Marindi and Bapujee Bharatham. Vasiraju Prakasam was born in Andhra Pradesh, India.

He now resides in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. He got a special mention for the category Best Writing on Cinema in the year 2003 again in the National Film Award. Vasiraju Prakasam has also won Nandi Awards for the movies "Balaraju Katha" in the year 1970 and the movie "Kalam Marindi" in the year 1972. Both these awards were for the category, "Best Feature Film." The cine-journalist Vasiraju Prakasam released a publication compiling 70 articles on movie personalities and other aspects of the Indian Film Industry named Chitrabharathi.
