Balabhadrapatruni Raman is an Indian Litterateur, Novelist, Dialogue Writer, Film Critic, Screenwriter, and Playwright. She was born on 26 January 1965 in Hyderabad. Her father's name is Ankaraju Anand Bhushan Rao, and her mother's name is Ankaraju Sathyavathi Devi. She completed her BA degree from Kasturba Gandhi School in Secunderabad in 1985. Her career in literature started in 1993 with a series of poems and short stories. One such story, called "Mullabata", was published in a monthly magazine called Vipula. She was inspired by the freedom fighter stories her grandparents used to tell her. Later, she decided to write up that story and, it was published by the EMSCO in 1995, titled LEADER.
Her first novel titled "Trupthi" was published in Chathura. She has written almost 150 short stories published in weekly and monthly magazines. Her books are now available online on shopping websites like Amazon and Flipkart. She has written three plays, namely, Gaaju Bharina, Pelli Sandadi Click to look into! >> Read More... , and Gunde Gudaindhi, all featured on The All India Radio. She has attended some events at the North American Telugu Association, and The Vangouri foundation as a Guest of Honour. She was also a guest in the literature section of the American Translators Association. She started her Tollywood journey in 1999 by writing the story for many movies like Madhumasam (2007), Rainbow (2008), Evare Atagadu (2003), Anaganaga O Ammayi, etc.
She is an Award-Winning artist known for her work in Telugu theatre, cinema, TV, and Radio. She has won The Nandi Award for Best Story Writer, Nemallikanti Mahalaxmi Amma Award, New Jersey Raja Laxmi Award, Agni Sakshi for best dialogue, etc.
