Panuganti Lakshmi Narasimharaavu is one of the most famous modern writers in Telugu language. He was born on February 11, 1865 at Seetanagaram, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. His father, Venkata Ramanayya was a reputed Ayurvedic physician. He lost his mother, Ratnamamba at a young age, so he was brought up by his paternal grandmother. He became a teacher in Peddapuram High School after completing his education in Rajamundry. He owns popular titles like Andhra Shakespeare and Andhra Edison.

Panuganti Lakshmi Narasimharaavu is one of the most famous modern writers in the Telugu language. He was born on February 11, 1865,  at Seethanagaram, Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. His writings show his spontaneity, versatility, originality, and earnestness. He is excellent as a dramatist as well as an essayist. He believed he would be remembered by people for his plays as a playwright, but instead, he was pretty famous for the Sakshi essays. The humor and sarcasm in those writings made the ordinary people love his writings. His father, Venkata Ramanayya, was a reputed Ayurvedic physician. He lost his mother, Ratnamamba, at a young age. Thus, he was brought up by his paternal grandmother. 

He became a teacher at Peddapuram High School after completing his education in Rajahmundry. Later in life, he became the 'Asthana Kavi' for Pithapuram Rajah's kingdom and moved there. He has made a significant contribution to bringing essays of eminence in Telugu literature. His literary works include Sri Vishnu Naama Maala Strotram, Saarangadhara, Narmada Purukutsiyam, Prachanda Chanakyamu, Pattabhanga Raghavamu or Paadukaa Pattabhishekhamu, Poornima, Chinna Natakamu, Mano Mahima, Vijaya Raghavamu, Vruddha Vivahamu, Kathalahari, Kalyana Raaghavamu, Ramaraju, and Buddha Bodha Sudha.

Radhakrishna (1904), a play he wrote that was way ahead in literature of its time. It is based upon the beliefs of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. The play portrays Radha's simple bhakti growing into Mahabhava in the stages. Mahabhava is the highest culmination of bhakti, often only associated with Radha by Vaishnava scholars. The Sage Narada, traditionally a character believed to be thriving on conflicts, was used as an initiator and promoter of dramatic action. This play was inspired with Ashutosh Mukherji’s Lord Gauranga. He owns popular titles like Andhra Shakespeare and Andhra Edison. Venkata Sastry awarded him Abhinava Kalidas. He was part of the famous writer's trio in those days, Simha Trayam,  Chilakamarthy Lakshmi Narasimham, and Koochi Narasimham.
