Subbaraju is mainly seen in Telugu films. He is an actor cum fighter. Subbaraju’s full name is Penmatsa Subbaraju. He was born in the year 1977 to Penmatsa Rama Krishnan and Vijayalakshmi. Born in Bhimavaram, Subbaraju completed his bachelor’s degree in Math. After completing a valid course in computer education, Subbaraju was offered a job in Dell in Hyderabad. Due to his interest in cinema, he searched some good roles to play in cinema.

While he went to director Krishna Vamsi’s house to solve the computer issue, he got to know the director. Then he was offered a role in Khadgam. His talent presented him a job in Amma Nana O Tamila Ammayi in the year 2003. This is the first movie by Subbaraju in Telugu. When the same film was remade in Tamil as M. Kumaran, S/O Mahalakshmi, he did the same role there.

He was praised for his negative role in that film. Khadgam released next to Amma Nana O Tamila Ammayi, in the same year. He has acted in Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi movies too. Pokiri (Telugu), shock, Pournami, Pokkiri (Tamil), Thulasi, Aditi, Gaja, Kantri, Bujjigadu, Billa (Telugu), Bindas, Leader, Mirchi, Thalaivan, Yevadu and Temper are some of the popular movies from his list. He is set to act as a hero in a remake of a Kannada movie.

He is one of the most famous Tollywood and Bollywood actor who made his career in most of the Hindi movies. He had also acted in Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada movies. He started his career by acting in a Marathi play in 1978. In 1987, his famous Marathi play “Hijada” (Eunuch) had received so much popularity and from that day he has come into the limelight among the industry. During his struggling time, he has worked as the watchman in Maharashtra Government’s Irrigation Department from where he used to get the salary of Rs-165/ per month. While working as the watchman he has developed quite an interest in theatre and his interest has taken him to film industry. After struggling so much, he has shifted to Mumbai. Sayaji was blessed with two children - Angraj Shinde and Monica shinde. But because of the tragic accident, Sayaji lost his son at a very early age that was just 15 years old. The accident took place at Barvi dam where sayaji family members went to celebrate the birthday of Vandana, who is a wife of Sayaji Shinde. After the School movie, he has done many other movies in Tamil. The Bharathi Tamil movie was one of the great hit for Sayaji from where his career has started and got so much name and fame. He had been honoured by the Tamil Nadu Award for his great effort and tremendous acting in the movie. In 2001, he had been nominated for the film fare award for Best Supporting Actor for the movie Kurukshetra and in 2000 for the best villain in movie School. Today he is ruling on many hearts due to his hard work and tremendous acting in movies.


Telangana Shakuntala

Telangana Shakuntala was born on 9th June 1951 in the Maharashtra district in India. She was born into a middle-class family, her father worked in the army while her mother managed the household. She was known as Raveena before she changed her name owing to her love for the Telangana dialect of Telugu language. From her teenage years, she started acting in various plays, and her debut performance on stage was featured at the prestigious Rabindra Bharati auditorium, which was named as a tribute to Rabindranath Tagore. Following her successful performance on stage, she was roped in by various troops to feature in their plays. After she performed a significant amount of plays, she decides to take her acting career one step further by acting in movies. Her first film was one directed by Goutam Ghose.Released in 1979, her debut film was titled as ‘Maa Bhoomi’ and it was a Telugu movie. Her passion for Telugu grew as her career progressed and she gained a lot of popularity for having the ability to use several dialects of Telugu. She proved throughout all her films that she was adaptable and versatile. So attracted to the Telugu language that she wanted to be reincarnated as a Telugu speaking person. Her roles were mainly of supporting characters such as comedy roles or negative characters. Shakuntala has also acted in many Tamil films, adapting quickly nad efficiently to the Tamil language just like she adopted to Telugu. In 1980, she was awarded the prestigious Nandini award for her contribution to the Telugu film industry. Throughout her career, she had acted in over a hundred films, but her career was cut short by her unexpected death at the age of sixty-three due to a cardiac arrest. She died on 14th June 2014 in her house at Hyderabad.
