Malkapuram Shivakumar

Malkapuram Shivakumar is a renowned film producer who normally is associated with productions of Telugu movies. His first ambitious project was ‘Surya vs Surya' (2015) which was directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni. The story and screenplay too were credited to director Karthik Ghattamaneni. The film stars Nikhil Siddharth and Tridha Choudhury in the lead role in lead roles. The film opened with a positive response. Karthik Ghattamaneni was the cinematographer and the music composer was Satya Mahaveer. Malkapuram Shivakumar is one of the film producers in Kollywood who generally attempted in making some Tamil hit movies into Telugu.

It was either dubbed or re-made with the same cast. It is said that to produce a dubbed version movie, it needs a minimum expenditure. But the theatrical rights and distributors share in the dubbed release needs to be handled in a more efficient manner. But then all these procedures were well known to Malkapuram Shivakumar, who later became a lucky mascot in Tollywood as his most films fared very well at the box office in a decent manner.

In the year 2017, he was the producer for movie 'Yamudu 3' (Telugu) which was dubbed version of 'Singam 3'. The film had actor Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. Director of this movie was Hari and music composer was Harris Jayaraj. Everyone had lauded Suriya and Hari's contribution to the film, In addition, the character of Duraisingam was too lauded for roaring in loud, making swift actions, and bashing up with the baddies which won applause from the viewers. In the same year, Malkapuram Shivakumar produced 'Nayanthara Dora' which was directed by Doss Ramasamy.
