Sudhamayi is a Telugu playback singer. She has graduated in Commerce stream. After completing her studies, she worked in TV9 for a few years and ran a live show. She started dubbing her voice in movies. She has dubbed almost 20 movies. But the job did not give her satisfaction as she was always passionate about singing. Therefore she started singing, first as a background singer, and later as a playback singer.
K.V. Srinivas, the legendary singer, is her uncle; she got influenced by him and started singing from the age of 4. At the age of six, she went upon the stage on the eve of the International Religious Festival and chanted the holy Bhagavad Gita. K.V. Srinivas is her first teacher too, and he used to teach her classical singing. Later she moved to various cities due to her father’s job and got to learn from various teachers. She participated in a reality show Sa-Re Ga-Ma-Pa and turned popular.
In 2007 she got married. She had a love marriage. She and her husband were colleagues. After her marriage, she received a great support from her in-laws family. Currently, she lives in the US and works in a software company.
