Singer Usha

Usha was born on 29th May, 1980. Singer Usha is her professional name. She is known to the music industry as Singer Usha. She has been given the name Singer because she is a very good playback singer in the Telugu Film Industry. She is a very famous playback singer in the South Film Industry. She has been associated with playback singing for more than ten years. She has worked with some of the most famous Music Directors in the South and produced some good music. She was born in Nagarjuna Sagar, Andhra Pradesh, India. Eenadu Television used to host a music reality show named Paadutha Teeyaga.

Usha was a part of this show. It was the first ever TV Show that she had participated. The show was hosted by singer Balasubramanium. She came first in the show and then opportunities started knocking at her door. After winning this show she again participated and won a musical show named Navaragam which was shown on Gemini TV. Between 1996 and 2000 she participated in numerous TV shows, all related to music. She performed and won most of them. She received great appreciation for her skills and talent. She also participated in some National Music Reality Shows in Hindi channels like Zee TV, and she even reached the finals of these shows.

The movie Illalu, which was a Telugu movie, was the first film for Usha as a playback singer. This movie had V. Srinivas as the music director. He was a very famous music director. She made her mark in Telugu playback singing in the year 2000 when she gave back to back hits throughout the year. She has sung in very famous Telugu movies like Indra, starring Chiranjeevi, Chirutha, starring Chiranjeevi’s son, Vourada, Porudu, Varsham and much more.
