Abhinaya is an Indian actress. She is currently working in the Tamil and Telugu film industry. She is both hearing and speech impaired. She made her debut in the movie Naadodigal which released in 2009. Her talent was first appreciated by the director Samuthirakani after he saw her portfolio in an advertising agency when he was on the lookout for a new face in the industry. When he saw the success of Naadodigal, he again cast the actress in the movie Shambo Shiva Shambo. She was offered to play a role in the Kannada movie, Hudugara. 

 She, with time, won many prestigious awards. She won two Filmfare awards for her performance in her debut, which turned out into a huge success and for the movie Shambo Shiva Shambo in the following year. She also played a role in the movie Easan which released in 2010 and was directed by Sasikumar. In 2011, she was asked to play an important role in the movie 7aam Arivu next to Suriya. In the next year 2012, she had played roles in three Telugu movies. She got the main lead role in the movie Telugu film Chandrudu opposite Krishnudu. She was seen playing in the Telugu movie, Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu which released in 2013.

She made her debut in Malayalam and the film is ‘The Reporter.’ This was released in 2015 with many delays. She made her debut in Bollywood by playing a small role in R.Balki’s movie Shamitabh.
