Ananya Nagalla

Born and brought in the independent state of Telangana, Ananya Nagalla is a natural actor, and her intentions in the cinema world are much brilliant than excepted. She finished her engineering in Raja Mahendra College of Engineering after which she reached Hyderabad to join the impressive IT company, Infosys. While she was working there, she participated in one of the acting workshops conducted in her company. Ananya then got a chance to act in a short film called Shaadi, produced by the MR production house, for which Ananya won the Best Actor award. After that, she took up her training seriously and even went to acting school for almost a month. During one the auditions for the award-winning movie Mallesham, and she did not give her best and hence was rejected. After several trials and improvements, Ananya finally got the lead role in director Raj’s next venture.

After this film, everything changed for Ananya. Her parents, who were at first unhappy with the idea of choosing between careers were really proud, and surprised with her performance in Mallesham. People around her were very overwhelmed by her enactment and she was on cloud nine with enormous compliments. In the movie, Ananya had to completed change her look from oiling her hair to draping a saree according to the demand of the script.

This was very tough for me especially coming from a work background where modernization is the way to live. Still, Ananya tried her best in all aspects and finally had vast respect for the saree weavers for their hardwork and determination, given her solid capability in the movie.
