Among the rare breed of actors who are the perfect blend of talent and striking beauty, Aamani is one. This Tamil and Telugu actor of the late 80’s and 90’s has got a list of some very special, unforgettable movies in her film career, Mr.Pellam (a popular telugu movie directed by Bapu) and Subha Sankalpam (starring Kamal Hassan and by the director Viswanath) being some of them. Aamani has been one to bag some prestigious awards like the National Film Award and the Nandi award in her career as well.

Starting off with the comedy film, Jamba Lakidi Pamba (starring Naresh, Bramhanandam and a host of comedians), and winning hearts with her very first film, Aamani had no turning back after the movie became a huge hit. Her career graph went up after that and she bagged roles opposite bigger actors like Jagapathi Babu, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna and Kamal Hassan after that. Among all her roles, the role of the ambitious and greedy house wife that she plays in Mr.Pellam will be remembered forever.

Post her marriage to the film producer Hazrath 1997, it was only in 2004, after a long break that Aamani has made a re-appearance in the movie Aa Naluguru (a highly acclaimed movie starring Rajendra Prasad in the lead), which was also a major success. Post that, Aamani has been making a few appearances in movies like Chandamama Kathalu since then.

Aamani despite being talented is one really modest woman. She’s often cited in interviews that her roles were “special” only because “the characters that were sketched were special”. But to be honest, no one else could really have brought so much life into all those roles that Aamani will always be remembered for.
