Venu is an Indian comedian and actor who mostly appears in supporting roles for the Tollywood cinema. He rose to fame during his appearances on a popular Telugu comedy show, Jabardasth. This stint of his made him so successful that he started getting offers for acting in movies. His appearance in the movie Munna, as the character Tillu, made him so famous because of which he is called 'VenuTillu.’

He was born in the town of Sircilla, which is a part of the state of Telangana now. He was born to a Hindu family. His parents are Venkatayya and Malavva. He was born on the 2nd of June, in the year 1980. In the movie Paisa, which rolled out in 2013, he was a playback singer. This is the only time in his career when he has been associated with music. His career on-screen started with his appearance in Jabardasth.

After that, he was offered a role as Tillu in the movie Munna, starring superstar Prabhas in the year 2007. This role of his kickstarted his career in the Tollywood cinema. In the year 2008, he acted in the movie, Kantri. In 2010, he played a role in the movie KathiKanta Rao. In the year 2012, he acted in the movie, Daruvu, which starred Telugu star Ravi Teja. In 2014, he acted in movies, Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya, Chakkiliginthaand, The End, and Mahesh Babu starrer, Aagadu.
