It was just a two years ago, Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana was making some bold movies for Telugu audiences in the lines of Mahesh Bhatt Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt created a niche for himself >> Read More... and Ekta Kapoor Ekta Kapoor; a legendry producer in Indian TV and >> Read More... . His films contained some bold themes and for this purpose, he formed a new team who looked after music, editing, photography department in the post-production process. Thus, Someshwar was roped in for editing his films.

At present, Tollywood film means catchy titles, humorous and dramatic dialogues, iconic scenes, peppy songs and some more really dramatic scenes. But the most eyeball-grabbing components of a film are bold scenes, nudity and some real adult stuff.

 All these elements were witnessed in the movie ‘Affair’. The film even went to censor board for verification but none knew about the prospects of the film at theaters still. Hence, the editing part of the movie remains a vital issue with Censor Board.

It sometimes happens that when Censor Board does not allow a filmmaker to release a movie for hot contents, he can even release them on YouTube too. We may say that YouTube streams an abundance of movie releases via its rental services making.

YouTube is a viable screening on demand option. This happened for a Telugu movie ’Affair’ as it was a lesbian movie featuring Prasanthi, Geethanjali, Dhanraj in lead roles, there was a heated argument with Censor Board and the producer of the movie. Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana threatened to release the movie ‘Affair’ on YouTube if the censor committee had halted the screening by November 2015.

We still cannot predict the success of the movie. Sometimes, the movie was even titled as ‘Affair’ and ‘A-fire’ too. Did the film release which only the producer can give a reply?

Someshwar Pocham also edited another flick of Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana which released in 2017. The film was titled as ‘Avanthika’ and it was a horror flick. At present, horror movies are being made in South Indian film industry too catch the viewer’s appeal. The film "Avanthika" created a lot of buzz among the audiences and it was appreciated even by masses too.

Horror movies or erotic movies need different kinds of editing. A film editor has to balance the love emotions to keep erotic movies engaged the way Mahesh Bhatt retains in movies like Jism, Murder etc. ‘Avanthika’ was edited well and the film retained the suspense, drama and other frightening moods in the movie.
