He is a well known name in Telugu Film Industry. He is a Film Director. As a Director he started his career with the film Simharasi in 2001.The movie was a great hit at box office. He has directed more than 15 films.Two of his recent directed movies are Chandee and Kakatiyudu. In his school days he was a bright student but due to his interest in film direction he dropped out from school. He has also worked as Assistant Director for many years. Some of his successful directorial movies are Simharasi, Siva Rama Raju, Mahanandi, Panchakshari, Vijayadasmi, Evadaithe Nakenti, Adhineta, Mallepuvu, Chandee. Simharasi is a Telugu film which was released in 2001.

It was released in 2013 starring Priyamani and Krishnam Raju.The movie was a superhit at box office and did a business of 550 million rupees in 30 days.The release of the movie got postponed due to political unrest in Andhra Pradesh.
