was a known famous Indian Writer of his time.His mother's name is ‘Thapi Annapornama.’ Tapi stepped into this film industry by working as an assistant director in the film 'Palletori Pilla'(a Telegu movie) in the year 1950. In the year 1954, he directed the film Anta Manavalle which marked his direction. His film
released in the year 1955, became a massive hit, and he gained recognition amongst the audience.
After that, he went on making many films. His other works include Naan Annital, Pudhiya Bhoomi, EngaVeetu Pillai, released in the year 1966,1968, and 1965. His works in the Hindi dialect include Man Mandir, Janwar AurInsaan, Ram Aur Shyaam, released in the year 1971,1972, and 1967 and many others too. One of the curious things to be noted is that Tapi has also worked for the Indian Army, where he did the job of a Radio Telegraphist.
