Seshu K M R is an Indian music director who has composed music for Bollywood and also South Indian movies. Also known as Seshu, hails from Guntur district but has lived in Hyderabad with his family since childhood. Seshu studied at St. Paul’s High School and did his post-graduation in computer science at Osmania University. At United Theological Open University, he prepared a thesis on “Flow Sound”, a particular sound design technique which is also patented. As his work continued as a doctoral research, his proposition gained recognition and he soon received his Ph. D. Seshu’s family members are familiar with the music industry. Seshu won a UNICEF award under the category for Best Girl Child Jingle.
In 2006, Prasar Bharati endowed the composer for Best Advertisement Music. Since then, he hasn’t stopped and continued to make tunes for All India Radio (Hyderabad edition) which includes devotional songs. Seshu debuted in Tollywood with Nee Thodu Kavali as a sound engineer. In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, movie buffs admire works of Ram Gopal Varma and Seshu is one of them. He is also involved in films like Anukshanam, “Ice-Cream- 2,” and “Wish You Happy Break-up.” Apart from films, Seshu has promoted “FlowSound” in other fields too. Agricultural scientists suggested the use of “Flow Sound” in the farms to get rid of birds which in turn would not destroy the crops. The technique also aims to replace the traditional use of scarecrows in plantations. Sheshu believes that animals are smart enough to decipher noises and his technique would solve the problems faced by farmers. Seshu is the CEO of Playback Entertainment Ltd.
